A Christ-Centered Everything

 In God, messages

Last week, my pastor (who also just so happens to be my husband!) shared a message on living a Christ-centered life. That may sound like a familiar topic and one you can easily dismiss. I urge you not to, though. Really, really think about this idea for a minute: what would it look like if Christ was at the center of your everything?

Imagine that all of a sudden, Christ is at the center of all of your relationships. What does that mean? How would it change things for your marriage, friendships, or family relations? Imagine that Christ is at the center of your professional life. What does that mean? How would it change your work ethic, on-the-job integrity, or ambition? Imagine that Christ is at the center of your financial world. What does that mean? How would it change your spending habits, savings, and giving? See? It’s not such a simple topic after all, is it?

As Jason was preaching, I was reminded of the words of the Charlie Hall song “Center”:

Christ, be the center of our lives

Be the place we fix our eyes

Be the center of our lives

This week, stop and take a moment to think about what it would mean for you to fully place Christ at the center of your everything. Let God challenge your ideas of what a Christ-centric life entails. You may just find your world transformed. Rest assured that with Christ at the center, you can never go wrong!
