Timing Is Everything

Have you ever stopped to think about the consequences of executing something before it’s time? A cake pulled too quickly from the oven may turn out to be more of a soupy mess. A test taken without proper time devoted to study can be a failure. A relationship embarked upon with high hopes may crumble due to one thing: bad timing. Why is timing so important in life and in life’s decisions? Why can today be right and tomorrow wrong?

If you’re a believer, I’m here to tell you that timing is EVERYTHING. Nothing in your life happens as some accidental throwaway or coincidental happenstance. Each moment of your life so far and still to come has already been planned. Don’t believe me?

“Your eyes saw my unformed body; all the days ordained for me were written in Your book before one of them came to be.”

Next time you start to get frustrated while waiting on something, take heart. There is a plan, and that plan is perfect. God will orchestrate the details of your life in His timing, so you can rest assured that the when of the event has already been decided. He knows the way things should go and the way things will go. If you’re like me and you want to plan and know and, ahem, control, let go. Someone knows exactly why things are happening when they do in your life, and that Someone can be trusted. Remember that while you may not understand the point of a certain circumstance happening on one day versus another, He does. He sees the whole course of your life while we generally have very limited vision. While I may only see how something will benefit me now, He knows how it will or won’t fit into the entire journey that my life will take.

Timing is everything.
