Happy Thanksgiving!

 In Life

Since my family will be traveling tomorrow to spend time with our loved ones on Thanksgiving day, I thought I’d be the first to wish you all a very Happy Thanksgiving! Take some time out from the chaos of life and enjoy your family and friends. While you’re at it, why not share with others some of the things you’re most grateful for this year? Growing up in my family, it was always tradition that on Thanksgiving morning we would sit around and share with each other all the things we were thankful for that year. As kids, I remember my sister and I begrudgingly going along with it to appease our parents, but looking back, those times were precious and I wouldn’t trade them for anything. There’s something powerful about sharing your thankfulness with others, because it becomes a testimony to God’s faithfulness in your life.

I will give thanks to You, Lord, with all my heart;

I will tell of all your wonderful deeds.

– Psalm 9:1

This year I am thankful for the safe and healthy arrival of our second child, sweet baby Gavin. I am thankful to see God’s hand in our church, guiding us and carrying us toward our purpose in Him. I am thankful for a kind, caring husband, who loves me and our boys. I am thankful for God’s continued guidance and grace in regards to my health. I am thankful to be expecting a niece or a nephew next summer! I am thankful for new friends and old friends and, of course, my loving family. I am thankful.

Happy Thanksgiving, my friends!
